I used to work in boarding schools and I learnt the most amazing hack there.

Do you get fed up with having to sort socks after they have been washed and dried?

Do you continually find yourself with an assortment of odd socks and wonder where the lost socks go?

Well, worry no more.

I put a small pot by my laundry basket with safety pins in.

I tell my kids and husband to pin their socks together with a safety pin before putting them in the laundry basket.

It took them about two weeks before they started doing it without thinking.

You can then wash the socks and dry them and there is no longer any need to sort them as they will remain pinned together.

It also makes it easier to hang them on the line as you do not need pegs.

So, hopefully you will no longer suffer from mssing sock syndrome!
